Excitement filled the air at SingHealth’s Academia on 19 October 2016 where almost 400 nurses and guests were treated to an exclusive premiere screening of “You Can Be An Angel 2”, a popular Mediacorp nursing drama. Soaking in the moment was Dr Amy Khor, Senior Minister of State for the Environment and Water Resources & Health.
Dr Khor, who teamed up with Chief Nursing Officer Tan Soh Chin to make a cameo appearance in the second season of the drama series, was joined at the screening by Mr Chan Heng Kee, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health. Also in attendance were the stars of the drama Zoe Tay, Bryan Wong, Rebecca Lim, Xiang Yun, Carrie Wong and Zheng Geping, much to the delight of the audience.
The guests were also given a behind-the-scenes look at the drama, complete with hilarious bloopers and highlights. The cast members, who shared their experiences during filming, even praised the nurses from our public healthcare institutions for being everyday heroes.
